Sometime around the middle of January, I began to put feelers out and was considering a job change. I didn't really like my attitude and felt as though a change of scenery might help that out. I was in no hurry and was not willing to take "anything" that came along, as I have developed some wonderful friendships while working in PACU and Same Day Surgery. Nonetheless, I really felt a change would do me some good. One weekend I sent two resumes out and got called for interviews for both. I ended up going for only one of them and felt like the first one was a good fit for me. It was at a busy Neurosurgery office in town. My pay would increase significantly but with that change our childcare would increase too. I would go from working three 12-15 hour shifts a week and taking call, to working five 8 hour days. I felt that there were pros and cons but I so longed to not go days at a time with seeing very little of the girls. I decided to take a leap of faith and accepted the new job. I spent one week working both jobs. The day before my last day at CRMC, my manager and director came to me with an offer to stay that I would have been crazy to turn down. Much had changed in those short two weeks and I felt honored that that they would fight so hard to keep me. For the most part, I feel happy with my decision and so Recovery Room Nurse I remain.
The girls are growing like weeds. For the past couple of weeks, they have hit what I believe to be a growth spurt. They are eating us out of house and home. They get smarter every day. Both girls can write their name (half of it is usually uppercase and half lowercase, but whose cares, right?) and their vocabulary is unbelievable. Speaking of unbelievable...this word could be used to describe their attitude at times. They are developing some sass, that's for sure. As hard as they are working on perfecting it, their mother and father are working equally as hard to curb it. They are both excited about our return beach trip this summer!
Meredith, Steve's oldest, has moved back home. We are delighted to have her and she is a huge help with the girls but it is an adjustment all the same. Forgetting we are sharing the washer with someone else and cooking dinner for an extra person will take some getting used to. I am sure this adjustment has been way harder on her than on us though!
I think this will suffice for now. I will leave you with a picture of Isabelle and Jeremiah the newest additions to our family. These days they go EVERYWHERE with us. Isabelle belongs to Zoe. Jeremiah (yes, I know it is a girl doll with a boy name) belongs to Maddie.

Haha, I'm loving "Jeremiah" too funny! I also enjoyed how you said that so much has happened but yet nothing has really changed...so true of life sometimes!
